This is crazy. I was the only person who was able to identify him because he was stupid. He made me give him the coins that were in the safe and I looked up at him like he was a dumbass and got a good look at his crooked face. I was only 18 when they took me to the Hillside PD headquarters to look at pictures. I recognized him right away and all he cops in the room started cheering, lol I felt so heroic. 😂

Apparently, this case is used in law school classes because of some jurisdiction law.

I will never forget that day and how cold that gun felt on the back of my neck. My prom was weeks away and all I could think of in those moments was how I wasn't going to make it and he was going to kill me. I think I even said to him, "Please don't kill me, I want to go to my senior prom." He kept screaming at the morning manager and she just froze and fell to the floor screaming and crying. She was older than me and I had to be the one to tell her to calm down and open the safe. Funny thing is she was the bitch with the biggest attitude and acted so tough. People are funny. I was in shock for the rest of the day, even finished my shift that morning.

It wasn't until later that day that I sobered up from the high and started crying.. it really could of gone either way.

Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07268673492509991754noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3652193042670104119.post-70225499210457101772024-03-26T06:04:00.000-07:002024-03-26T06:07:21.211-07:00Baby Steps
My social plans both fell through. Newark flooded and I couldn't get out but then I prob wouldn't be able to get in late at night, so we canceled. I do want to hang out with my cousin so we will def reschedule, me and Rosa always have a good time. The other had a pet emergency so I wasn't too upset about going home to homebody. We are in eclipse energy, I really didn't want to chance driving in the torrential rain, perfect recipe for an accident.

Easter is coming up soon and again with the holidays. Easter isn't that bad because it's more low key but when I was in my 20's we had a few experiences around Easter time that taught me to just stay home and do nothing. Once I got held up at Burger King when I was 18 going into work at 6am. Then me and my friends get stuck out in the city after a night at the Limelight because our car got towed. Then we get the car back and we lock ourselves out of the car. It was a crazy night. After that I never went out on Easter weekend again.

On another note, my nails are almost all grown out. After a year of gel my nailbed was destroyed so I like to give them a rest for a few months. I'm still deciding whether I want to do it again or do my own nails, but I have been down this road before, so I bought the glue on nails. I'll try them in about 2 weeks, if they stay on more than a week, I'll be happy with this alternative. It's more natural.

I really hope everything works out and I get to go to Portugal this summer. I want time by the ocean .. like live there. Here I go one day and have to come back home, I want to live near there. If it's only 3 weeks at a time that's fine, hopefully I can get to the point where I can go for 3 to 4 months at a time. Seems impossible right now but that's what I want. That's what I feel right now because 3 years ago I wanted to move to a farm... I actually still am fond of that idea. I also don't hate the city but when there is no balance in life things are off. Ohhh I feel like I'm writing out my mood board.

I know what I have to do .. it's hard. Baby Steps..
Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07268673492509991754noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3652193042670104119.post-9625244945928538112024-03-22T07:38:00.000-07:002024-03-22T07:38:25.957-07:00Socializing
I hate it. But I'll do it and very well.. I'm an Aquarius we can mobilize when needed. I made plans this weekend... Friday and Saturday. WTF was I thinking. I'm no quitter so off I go, and I'll immediately relax the minute I sit down. Venus is in Pisces in my 11th house... now is the time go hang out.

I weighed myself today and am not happy with the results. I'm doing something wrong...

I feel better in my jeans but I could feel a lot better. It's been two weeks. So I'm going to add cardio to the days I do Pilates, it was stupid of me not to. Let's see what changes in two weeks after that. Plus, I might need to take a look at my diet. Carbs only twice a week. I feel all the muscles in my body though...Pilates gets in there. Joseph Pilates had that saying

I'm on about 10 sessions. I'm going to up Pilates to 3 days a week and Cardio 5 days a week. Arms 1 day and legs 1 day. Pilates has been shaping my legs though, but I would like a little more muscle there.

So that's my oath for today. Step it up... I do feel difference but in two weeks I want to see it. I did research on him; I love his method.

17. It sucks. I always feel like I'm in scared energy when I go into the offices. Today everyone was immediately polite. They even had a Portugues interpreter. I guess they didn't trust me? lol I didn't mind, it was a relief. The Dr was also very nice, he was dressed pretty sharp for a Dr... he's more like Hematologist, I guess. I swear he had on Star Wars socks. That lightened the air and she went off to get bloodwork while I got to swipe my phone and read my astrology forecast. We were there for almost 2 hours, I forgot to bring a book. Swiping on your phone just stresses me out more.

Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07268673492509991754noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3652193042670104119.post-54198507031651623822023-07-12T12:06:00.000-07:002024-03-21T16:49:39.325-07:00Little House on the Praia / Summers in Portugal.
It's a little village. It's always been a little village, when my mom grew up there, when my grandmother grew up there. When my great grandmother lived there it had nothing. It was just sand, a few houses and lots of shacks because it was just a little fishing village. I know those memories are in my DNA and that is why the first time I went into the ocean with my dad, I felt like a mermaid. "Yay! floating is cool."

It's people were very poor. Life was very simple. The "campanha's went out every morning to drop their nets in the middle of the ocean and come back with long ropes so they can be pulled back in by fisherman. Then thousands of fish get picked and put into wood boxes to be sold locally and wholesale. Then you had to clean up everything after, it was a hours ordeal. They used two bulls to help with the pulling back then. Then off to another part of the beach there are mounds of women separating all the different fish. There were be about 4 fishing boats and they were owned by different families. Now there are 3. Those fishing boats kept that village alive. It was a hard life. They only made money in the summer months.. winters were hard.

I got to go there in the summers whenI turned 13 and the old soul in me that lived here before.. fell in love all over again. The salt air, the ocean... the people.. the oldness of it all.
Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07268673492509991754noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3652193042670104119.post-20659982078376231452023-05-04T09:16:00.004-07:002023-05-04T09:16:49.780-07:00I dreamt of my father last night
I was in a room and in the corner there was a body all tangled up. I could tell it was him though so I went up to him and very gently kissed him and told him it was ok to let go and go to the other side. A couple of weeks ago I dreamt of a friend that had passed also but in this dream he was crying. I didn't approach him like I did my father. I was probably scared.

Maybe my father being tangled up in a dream was just my brain trying to look at something it was not used to. I just remember kissing him gently and letting him know I loved him. Something I stopped doing when I got older and I know it was something he needed so much. My father was a romantic, artistic and gentle Cancer. Sometimes he would get drunk when I was a kid and cry about how we didn't care about him anymore. Family was really important to him but he didn't know how to be loving to us as adults. We also didn't know how to be loving so we were all at a standstill. I used to be so affectionate to him when I was a kid and I know he missed that but my mother hardened me and when I needed for him to be there he wasn't. I did love my father immensely in the best way I knew how. I have a lot of regrets that I'm working through on my own. The last time I saw him alive he was being helped into a car so he can get to a ER. I remember lunging into the car not caring if he gave me his Covid. I hugged him so hard. He looked at me and his last words were "Eu sei." - I know.

I hope that was conveyed to him last night. That I loved him, that he was a good father and good provider and protector. I just don't want him lingering around us with regrets, I want him to off into the light and be at peace and happy. We will meet again.
Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07268673492509991754noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3652193042670104119.post-840960333945608502023-02-09T06:17:00.004-08:002023-02-09T06:17:40.147-08:00Thinking about
I'm just thinking about last summer and my mother nagging me about what I wear. I'm way too casual for her, I guess you can call it being a tomboy. It's a stupid saying. So there I am on the beach where we live being damned for coming out in some black linen drawstring cargo pants. I'm pretty sure I topped it with some tshirt or sleeveless top with my black Birkenstocks. What the hell am I supposed to wear for my nightly walk? She's so annoying and from a completely different era. My brother's punk rock influence ruined her floral and pink dreams of me wearing dresses.

I say all of this because I have been lighter in my choices of wardrobe. Anything I buy from here to the summer is to wear in Portugal too. I love living on the beach, even if it is for 3 weeks. I used to do it all whole summer when I was a teenager. Leave me alone with my faded drawstring pants. I'm happy the way I am. I just hate getting dressed up and seeing people's reactions. OMG you look so nice. Like to insinuate that I don't look nice any other time. I get insulted by compliments. It's strange. Here comes Buddhism to teach me how to take a compliment ..

I really do love the Buddhist teachings It's not unachievable to reach that place of not giving a fuck. It's hard work to be aware all day of how you react to things. It brings up a lot. But you work through it and before you know it you are in the practice of letting shit go.

That's it.. Need some t's saying that. I know someone already did it but I can add a twist.

Back to the compliment thing. It's a product of overthinking and a monkey mind. Astrologically I am fucked because I'm an Aquarius with 4 placements. I can live inside my head my whole life. I need to add more fire to my life. Just to balance shit out.
Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07268673492509991754noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3652193042670104119.post-73430020416907765202022-10-02T06:43:00.004-07:002022-11-25T07:34:25.979-08:00Dream states
I just realized that having your phone in your face all day is another form of dream state, except we are ok.

Def a form of brainwashing.

We don't want to believe we are enslaved by a higher force, but we are. It's so Piscean. Actually more like Mars in Pisces. So extreme..you feel like you're transcending as you watch them turn all different type of colors. The fluorescent and neon lights would make Limelight circa 1992 proud. Neptune is the king of the sea and Neptune rules Pisces and what that means is: That's the planet associated with Pisces and every sign of the zodiac has one. I felt like I was meditating watching this....Pisces are deep...like the ocean. (Neptune) This was a very spiritual video if you look at it long enough. A man or woman who has Mars in Pisces in their Natal Chart can walk into a room and absorb everyone's energies if they want to. A Mars in Pisces is usually Romantic, Artistic and into photography or music in some way. They are giving with the purest of intentions. They are also inspirational partners.
It is estimated that two out of every five American women color their hair, so there are no shortage of people who can benefit from utilizing more natural methods of hair color. Henna is one product that uses natural dyes to alter the color of your hair. While these are generally effective, they rarely provide the right results if you are trying to lighten your hair.

Fortunately, there is a world of other options if you want to lighten your hair color naturally.Lemon juice is by far the most popular method for lightening hair at home. Beware of commercial lighteners that claim to use lemon juice; they are often strong chemical products in disguise with very little lemon juice inside the bottle. Lemon juice in itself is strongly acidic, so diluting it will keep it from damaging your hair. It should be mixed with at least an equal amount of water, more if your hair is already damaged or if you are concerned with graying. This mixture can be rinsed through the hair by itself, or it can be combined with any of the ingredients below.

Olive oil contains lightening agents in addition to its undeniable ability to give hair a certain softness and sheen. It's excellent for counteracting any drying effects lemon juice may have on your hair. Mix a tablespoon or two of olive oil in a cup of water with one tablespoon of pure lemon juice. Massage mixture into hair and leave to soak for 30 minutes. Rinse well; two shampoos may be required to completely remove the olive oil.

Another old-fashioned method used for brightening hair is chamomile. Regular chamomile tea mixed with lemon juice can be rinsed through hair daily until the desired effect is achieved. Enhanced results can be seen if you boil the tea yourself using chamomile flowers. Using the natural flowers instead of tea bags seems to have a much stronger effect. If you happen to be boiling chopped rhubarb, use the water leftover as a rinse to lighten hair. It can also give your hair a shiny gloss if used regularly.

Honey is a superb hair lightener because it naturally contains traces of hydrogen peroxide. You can mix a tablespoon of honey with a cup of water and let it sit for 30 minutes to allow the peroxide to develop. Then coat hair completely with the mixture and allow it to sit for at least 20 minutes. After applying the mixture, you can also cover hair with saran wrap and leave overnight. Add a tablespoon of olive oil to the mix for an intense overnight moisture treatment. After using any of these methods, you can enhance your results by sitting with your hair in the sun for about 20-30 minutes. The sun is known for its brightening effect on hair, and the items listed above will further activate the sun's lightening power.Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07268673492509991754noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3652193042670104119.post-52481353690446296652010-03-03T07:55:00.000-08:002010-03-03T07:56:03.112-08:00Feng Shui Do’s and Don’ts for Better Health

Our home is intrinsically connected to our health and well-being. If our house or apartment is dirty, cluttered or filled with stagnant chi, our health may suffer as well. Follow these important Feng Shui Do’s and Don’ts as the first steps toward more energy and better health.

Do: Have good quality air. Most of us feel better after spending a day in the outdoors in the woods or mountains, breathing fresh air. Maintain that high-quality air in your home, as well, to improve your overall health.

Open windows to let air – and chi – circulate, and add plants to your environment. Plants release oxygen into the air and absorb CO2, making our air cleaner with their very existence. Because plants are alive, they also add positive chi to an environment.

Do: Let the sunlight in. In the morning, open the blinds or curtains on windows to let lots of energizing light into the space. Decorate with light or bright colors, using dark colors as accents, to promote positive energy, too.

Don’t: Overpower your home with artificial scents, like those from air fresheners and scented candles.

Don’t: Let clutter take over the center of your home. The center of your home should be clean, clear and still. As the center of your home has to do with your own health and should be left open as it can adversely affect your health.
